Every new account can browse freely, but liking, matching, and messaging are locked until you pass verification. This is the same for everyone: it keeps the app free of fake and stolen-photo accounts.
If you haven’t verified yet, open the verification screen and complete the short guided selfie. It takes about a minute.
If you already tried and it didn’t pass automatically, your account may be in manual review. This usually takes under 24 hours. You’ll be able to like and message as soon as it clears.
